What LaPerl is
LaPerl is a fashion editorial site for women who want outfit ideas with context, not just inspiration boards. We write about seasonal dressing, occasion outfits, and specific aesthetics through curated guides and styling explainers, for readers who want to understand why a look works, not only what to pin.
What you’ll find here
Expect curated outfit guides and clear styling logic. That includes quiet luxury and office dressing, summer and winter formulas, occasion looks for work and evenings out, and trend reads with enough explanation that you can adapt them to your own wardrobe. We write in plain English, use real outfit examples, and skip empty superlatives.
If you want shopping hauls or celebrity gossip, this is not the place. If you want seasonal outfit ideas with proportion, color, and fabric explained, you are in the right place.
Why we built this
Most fashion content shows you what to want, not how to think about getting dressed. Pinterest boards are useful for inspiration, but they rarely explain why an outfit holds together or how to wear a trend without looking like you copied a mood board. LaPerl exists in the middle: curated by two writers who care about clothes, explained clearly enough to be useful, and specific enough to feel personal.
Who this is for
This site is for women who want practical outfit guidance with a point of view, whether you are building a quieter work wardrobe, dressing for a hot summer, or trying a trend without losing your own taste. You might be solving one decision (what to wear to a business dinner) or browsing seasonal ideas for your climate. We meet you where you are.
How we write
Every article is researched and edited to stand on its own. We do not publish keyword shells, recycled listicles, or content written only for search engines. For our standards on sourcing, updates, and what we will not publish, see our Editorial Guidelines.
Who writes here

Lea Parmentier
Lea is a fashion writer and stylist based in London, born and raised in Paris. She writes about getting dressed the way she actually does it: considered choices, personal perspective, and no shopping lists. At LaPerl she focuses on quiet luxury, investment dressing, and the European restraint that shows up in greige palettes, wide-leg trousers, and texture choices that read polished without trying too hard.
Her pieces are unrushed and specific. You will see her byline on seasonal outfit guides, office and occasion dressing, capsule logic, and the quieter side of trend interpretation.

Vera Solis
Vera is a fashion writer based in London, originally from Barcelona. She covers contemporary trends and outfit styling with a sharper, more expressive eye. She is usually the one naming what is circulating on Pinterest before it hits the high street, and showing how to wear it with intention rather than imitation.
Her pieces are warmer and more decisive. You will find her byline on trend-forward roundups, going-out looks, street-influenced styling, and the more expressive end of the same wardrobe questions Lea approaches from the quiet luxury side.
If a byline on an article looks familiar, that is intentional. Lea and Vera are the people behind what you read here.
